Welcome to GAK’s Wireless Systems page, your ultimate destination for high-quality wireless solutions for musicians. Our wireless systems offer reliable and interference-free performance for guitarists, vocalists, and presenters alike.
At GAK, we provide a comprehensive range of complete wireless systems for musicians looking to break free from the constraints of cables. Our selection of wireless guitar systems, wireless microphones, wireless microphone systems and wireless headset microphone systems is ready to elevate your live sets. We understand that our customers have different requirements, so we offer different frequency bands and transmission technologies to suit your specific needs.
A guitar wireless system allows you to move freely on stage without the limitations of a guitar cable. We offer a variety of wireless guitar systems that are easy to set up and use. Many of our guitar wireless systems work seamlessly with effects pedals and ensure your wireless guitar is free from tone degradation or latency.
If you’re a vocalist, our wireless microphone headset systems provide reliable and crystal-clear sound quality, allowing you to move freely on stage whilst retaining a professional vocal sound. And if you’re a presenter, our wireless headset microphone systems offer a hands-free solution that lets you focus on your presentation without worrying about holding a microphone.
We also offer a range of microphones, including dynamic mics and condenser mics, to suit different recording and live sound applications. If you need to amplify your wireless setup, we have a variety of portable and powerful PA systems to choose from, including powered speakers, mixers, and subwoofers. Feel free to contact our Pro Audio team if you have any questions or need help choosing the right system for your live sound setup.

What is a wireless system?
A wireless system consists of two main parts: a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter is typically a bodypack or handheld device that sends the signal wirelessly to the receiver, which is connected to your amplifier, mixer or PA system. We offer a wide range of wireless microphone systems, including wireless microphone headsets and wireless headset microphone systems, which are perfect for vocalists and presenters.
Are wireless guitar systems reliable?
Yes, wireless guitar systems are very reliable, and modern systems offer interference-free performance. However, it is important to choose a system that operates on a frequency band that is not congested in your area to minimize the risk of interference.
What wireless guitar systems do pros use?
Professional musicians use a range of wireless guitar systems from brands such as Shure, Sennheiser and Line 6. These brands have been tested and proven to offer reliable performance, exceptional sound quality, and low latency.
What do I need to make my guitar wireless?
To make your guitar wireless, you will need a wireless guitar system that consists of a transmitter and a receiver, as well as a power supply. Some systems also include a guitar cable that connects the transmitter to your guitar.
Do wireless guitar systems work with pedals?
Yes, wireless guitar systems work seamlessly with pedals and other effects. In fact, using a wireless system can help to reduce cable clutter on stage and make it easier to manage your effects chain.
Do wireless guitar systems affect tone?
No, modern wireless guitar systems offer transparent and high-fidelity sound and do not affect tone. However, the quality of your sound may be influenced by other factors such as the quality of your guitar and amp and the settings of your effects.
Do wireless guitar systems have a delay?
Modern wireless guitar systems have minimal latency and offer real-time performance. However, it is important to choose a system with a low latency rate to ensure that you can play and respond to the sound in real time.
What is the difference between 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz for wireless guitar?
2.4 GHz wireless systems are more susceptible to interference, while 5.8 GHz systems offer better signal stability and range. However, 5.8 GHz systems can be more expensive and may not be suitable for all environments.
What is a Channel 38 licence and do I need one?
A Channel 38 license is required for any wireless system operating within the 606-614MHz range in the UK. Channel 38 is the most popular range for wireless mics and in-ear monitors in the UK and is available across a wide range of frequencies. If you are using a wireless microphone or in-ear monitors in this frequency range, you will need a license from Ofcom, the UK’s communications regulator.
This license is required to ensure that wireless systems do not interfere with other licensed users in the area, such as TV and radio broadcasters. It is important to obtain a license and comply with the regulations to avoid interference and potential fines. You can visit the Ofcom website for more information on obtaining a Channel 38 license.
We recommend going for a 2.4 GHz or 5.8 GHz system if you want to avoid needing a licence, as both of these frequencies are licence-free. Please note, a 5.8 Ghz system is illegal to use in Japan so bear that in mind if you’re performing with your wireless system there.
What’s the difference between an analogue and a digital wireless system?
The main difference between analogue and digital wireless systems is the way they process and transmit audio signals. Analogue systems transmit the audio signal in a continuous waveform, while digital systems convert the signal into a series of ones and zeros, which are transmitted as packets of data.
Digital wireless systems offer several advantages over analogue systems. They provide better signal clarity and stability since they are less susceptible to interference from other wireless devices. They also offer higher frequency response and dynamic range, meaning they can capture a wider range of audio frequencies and volumes. In addition, digital systems typically offer more advanced features, such as encryption and remote control, which can be useful in professional settings.
However, analogue systems can still offer good sound quality and reliability, and they are generally more affordable than digital systems. Some musicians also prefer the natural sound character of analogue systems, which can add warmth and depth to their tone.
When choosing between an analogue and a digital wireless system, it’s important to consider your specific needs and preferences, as well as the environment in which you’ll be using the system. If you need high-quality audio and advanced features, a digital system may be the best choice. If you’re on a budget or prefer the sound character of analogue systems, an analogue system may be a good option.
